Speedgolf USA proudly presents the 2026 Arizona Speedgolf Open, returning to Encanto 18 Golf Course in the heart of Phoenix for a fast-paced, sunrise-start competition.
This one-day event brings together elite athletes, age-group competitors, juniors, and first-time players for a dynamic test of speed, skill, and endurance. Set against a historic municipal layout known for its runnable terrain, the Arizona Open delivers Speedgolf in its purest form β competitive, accessible, and community-driven.
Whether youβre chasing a podium finish or experiencing Speedgolf for the first time, this event offers a unique opportunity to compete, connect, and push your limits.
β³ EVENTS & FORMATS
π Players may register for both individual and team divisions.
π 18-Hole Open
Member Entry Fee: $160
Players compete over 18 holes in classic Speedgolf format, combining golf strokes and running time for a single total score. The lowest combined score determines division winners.
β‘ 9-Hole Open
Member Entry Fee: $95
A shorter-format option ideal for newcomers and competitive players looking for a fast, high-energy race.
π€ 9-Hole Team Event
Male β’ Female β’ Mixed
Member Entry Fee: $95 per player
Two-player teams compete in a fast-paced 9-hole format. Teammates race the course together, combining performance and strategy in a uniquely social and competitive experience.
π’ Junior Open
Entry Fee: $50
Designed for athletes under 18, the Junior Championship introduces young players to Speedgolf in a fun, supportive environment.
β‘ TOURNAMENT FORMAT
All divisions follow the official Speedgolf scoring system:
Score = Golf Strokes + Running Time
Example:
Golf Score: 80
Running Time: 60 minutes
Final Score: 140
The lowest combined score wins.
The team event is played as a best ball format.
Tee times begin at 6:00 AM off Hole 10, with players starting at 4-minute intervals.

2026 Membership Requirement
All participants must hold a valid Speedgolf USA membership:
- Day Pass: $15
- Annual Membership: $195
Annual members receive waived daily pass fees for all 2026 events, and member-onnly rates at participating Speedgolf courses nationwide.

π TOURNAMENT RULES
The 2026 SGUSA Official Rules of Speedgolf will govern play.
β’ USGA rules apply (with modified lost ball/OB procedure β 1 stroke penalty)
β’ Timing begins at your tee time and ends at the finish line
β’ All-in-one clubs permitted
β’ No equipment on greens (1-stroke penalty)
β’ All equipment must cross the finish line with the player
Local rules will be distributed during tournament week.
π VOLUNTEERS & SCOREKEEPERS
Each player will be assigned a volunteer scorekeeper responsible for:
β’ Recording strokes and time
β’ Assisting with ball spotting
β’ Providing hydration and support
Players may bring their own scorekeeper. Volunteers are encouraged to register.
